Here at Gatheredtable, we want to help you make healthy food choices for yourself and your family. Our latest improvement takes this one step further – by providing nutritional information for all recipes in Gatheredtable (our suggestions or any recipes you add yourself).
How we calculate nutritional info:
We mapped our complete ingredient database to a corresponding ingredient in the USDA National Nutrient Database. If we couldn’t find a perfect match, we found a product from a trusted brand and used the nutrition facts from their label. We calculate the nutrient amounts for each recipe based on weight and then divide for the number of servings.
Based on available information, there are certain calculations that needed to be estimated, leaving room for error. We’ve made every effort to provide accurate information for all recipes, but if you see anything that looks off please feel free to drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our nutritional information updates with the recipes!
That’s right, if you edit a recipe the nutrition facts will update, too. If you use our web clipper or copy a recipe from the Gatheredtable Recipe Library to your personal library and make an edit (like remove an ingredient, or change the number of servings) then when you click save the nutritional information will automatically update. Pretty cool!
Note, we can’t calculate nutrition data if an ingredient has no quantity specified. For example you may see “No Data” listed for an ingredient that is “grated parmesan cheese” – to see nutrition info just edit the recipe to add a quantity to the ingredient like “1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese.”
Note: Nutritional data is a premium feature and will only be accessible if you have chosen to upgrade to a Gatheredtable Meal Planning Subscription (Not available as part of free trial). See plan options.
